About Vroni
Fifteen years of shipping software, for clients and for companies of my own. Then I automated the job.
I'm Vincent Schmalbach. For fifteen years clients have described working with me the same way: he just gets it. You explain the thing once, finished software comes back.

The story behind the flat rate
For most of those fifteen years I was the bottleneck. Over a hundred projects shipped, client work and companies of my own, and every one was capped by my hours.
I got into AI early and was on OpenAI's first API beta, before ChatGPT existed. When ChatGPT, Copilot, and Cursor came out, I used them on real projects, got real results, and kept notes on what worked: which tool for which job, what to check, where things break. Claude Code and Codex made agentic coding practical, and those notes grew into a proper process with tooling around it. About a year ago I built that process into one system and called it Vroni. It reads a codebase, plans the change, writes and tests the code, and hands back a finished pull request.
It ships over a hundred tasks a month into production now. It also taught me something about the market: nobody wants to operate a tool like this. They want what comes out of it.
So the offer is the output. You send whatever needs building. Vroni does the production work, I make the calls and review everything, and finished pull requests land in your repo, one task at a time, for one flat price. It costs a fraction of what hiring senior developers would.
Vroni is founder-led: I'm your point of contact and the person responsible for what ships. As more clients come on, senior developers I trust work the same way. No juniors work on your product, and nothing ships without review.

What clients say
All of these are from my freelance years. The flat rate is the same way of working; Vroni just makes it faster.
"HIRE VINCENT. Seriously. That rare breed of web developer who just gets it. You have a chat, you express what you need, and he comes back with what you asked for. Not looking to overcomplicate things. A joy to work with, not having to micromanage."
Ariel Ozick, Wired Rhino, Inc.
"Vincent is one of those rare developers who can jump into a complex codebase, become useful immediately, and solve real problems without hand-holding. He does not just close tickets, he thinks through the product, the edge cases, and the customer impact."
Yash Chandra, Academy of Mine
"He's tackled some major technical challenges for us, including a complex Laravel upgrade and significant performance improvements. Reliable, technically skilled, and a valuable partner."
Howard Rickard, Athena Advisers Ltd
"I've been working with Vincent for several months, and he's one of the most independent developers I've collaborated with. He doesn't need micromanagement. Vincent works very well asynchronously: communication stays focused, there is little unnecessary back-and-forth, and he still raises the important questions when needed."
Aidas K., Bizdras OU
"He delivers clean code and reliable implementation. We especially value how quickly he gets into mature projects and finds solutions that fit the existing state of the codebase. Absolutely recommended."
Florian Brunner, designundzwanzig OG
"Methodical and efficient. He really dug into our requirements, asking clarifying questions until he had a solid understanding. Then built exactly what was needed and kept us informed throughout."
Philipp Toepelmann, Digital Investments GmbH
Why Vroni exists
AI agents can now do most of the production work in software. Deciding what to build, and judging what comes back, still takes senior developers. Put the two together and a small senior team ships more than an agency several times its size, at a price that used to be impossible. That's the bet Vroni makes.
If that sounds useful, start the way every client of mine has started for fifteen years: tell me what you want built.
